Photos for Monday!

I had a fairly uneventful weekend. Spent some time with friends on Saturday night, had Maggie's soccer game on Friday night. Sunday was a lazy day, so I figured instead of boring you with some of my humdrum, I'd share some photos! I finally downloaded the vacation pictures and I'm hoping that I actually get time to scrap some of them before the end of the year!

Anyway, here is Maggie and her cousin, Abby, playing the piano. I swear, they look like two saloon girls, but so cute! Look at the too of them with their "hymn books". They were taking this seriously! LOL!

Here's Maggie in her "Shark" suit. My mom bought her this set of shark gear to wear in the pool. Me, being the paranoid mom, still makes her wear a floatie when she's in the deep end. But, how funny is her "scary" pose? LOL!

Then, there are the Gators. We went golfing one night and I couldn't help but take photos of the gators in the pond. (Don't worry - they were fenced in!)

Finally, my family in Florida. My hottie husband and beautiful little girl. Then, there's me. Usually green from morning sickness that lasts all day. Plus, I'm too lazy to photoshop the glare off of my glasses. Oh well...

That's all for today. Going to go tonight to help my niece register for baby stuff. She's due December 9th! I can't wait!!!!

Love the photos, Ginger! What got me through pregnancy sickness (notice I didn't say "morning," cause it wasn't just in the morning!): toast; peanut butter; eggs; jolly ranchers; pb nabs. The latter two can be tucked in your purse, too. :)

Oh, and I"m so loving the new Green line!!!!

I wore one of those pressure bracelets during my 2nd pregnancy (no problem with #1). It seemed to help (was recommended by my OB/GYN). It was also suggested to keep a fresh cut lemon on the desk. Take a deep whiff of it when you needed to. No idea what or why but it's supposed to work.

Great pics!!!! My SIL and her hubby live in Florida on the Gulf Coast. They have a canal that runs through their backyard and one day they went out the back door and there was an alligator in their back yard. ((shudder)). And then by BIL decides to "wrestle" and jumps on one!!!!!

I hope you feel better soon. If you drink tea at all Ginger tea is the absolute best for nausea. I swear by it and recommend it to anyone I know with upset stomach/morning sickness. There is one called Ginger Aid available from health food stores. Or there is one called Ginger Twist from Lipton available at a grocery stores. This one tastes better than the other one as it has a few more things added, such as lemon and other things to help with the taste as ginger itself is pretty bitter (the root, not you lol). Both are safe for pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon!!

P.S. You can also get a pregnancy tea at the health food store. It will help prepare your body and uterus for childbirth. This one tastes good--it has raspberry in it!!

Love your photos - especially "shark girl" - priceless!!

I had horrible morning sickness with Brigid (pretty much all day!) 2 things I couldn't have gotten through that first trimester without - Pepperidge Farm goldfish and candied ginger. The goldfish worked when I was hungry, but the thought of eating "real" food would make me want to hurl - the candied ginger worked best if I wasn't feeling even remotely hungry and had that queasy feeling.

Man. I missed a lot. :( I pray that you and your family don't have anymore drama. The first trimester is so scary :{

Looks like you had a great vacation. It's nice to see you back. I didn't realize your hair had gotten so long. You look quite hip. ;) Love Maggie's scary shark face.

Great pictures, Ginger!!! LOVE the shark outfit! Too cute!!

I never found anything that helped with my morning sickness with DD... I threw up for 6 1/2 months, I think. Occasionally ginger-things did help though--ginger snaps, ginger ale, ginger herbal tea...not too often though. (and I got really tired of Ginger ale after all that time! 4 1/2 years later and I still can't taste it without remembering the feeling! Hopefully your sick-phase will pass sooner than mine did! ;-)
