I'm not ready to make nice...

Ok - I don't get all political, so don't expect it here. However, I just have to express how excited I am that the new Dixie Chicks CD came out today. Already downloaded it. Oh yes...I've missed them.

My husband gives me a lot of heck for still listening to them, but I just really like their music. So, they can't keep their mouth shut. Neither can I, I suppose. Might as well just sit back and enjoy some tunes. For the record, I respect the office of our President.

Now - on to less controversial issues. Addison is so stinkin' cute! I need to download my photos from this weekend. She is in the smiling mode these days. She LOVES it when her daddy calls her his "little leprechaun". (She was born on St. Patty's Day) She buries her face and just smiles. It melts my heart. The past five years were totally worth it to watch her look up at me and smile. Completely worth it!

I also need to download photos from Barb's black belt testing this weekend. Pretty cool stuff!

Back to my CD!

Seriously, I think we might be separated at birth! Love me some Dixie Chicks and I really don't listen to country music that much (that typed as Josh Turner comes up in my ipod shuffle--google him, he's hot and his voice is too-heehee!). They are the best to scrapbook to! And the politics, well, I really don't understand why everyone gives musicians, actors, etc so much political clout...don't get it at all. I wonder if other coutries are like this? But, the girls have got talent and I also like me some talented females!

I'm just kidding- They do have some awesome songs. What about that magazine cover-quite interesting. I wish I looked that good with words on me :)

As the wife of a soldier who spent 14 months in Iraq, I am proud to say that I will be buying their CD. I do respect the office of the Presidency...but, I won't go into further details!! Don't want to take your blog downhill. LOL
Anyways...just thought I would let you know that the Dixie Chicks will be playin' in my radio!

They get so distracted from the music...3 years between albums and all. So, do you like the new album? i've only listened to snippets but it sounds more rock than blue grass. ...

Love, love, love the Dixie Chicks. Just got their new album in the weekend and have listened to it endlessly since then. Can't understand at all why some people make such a fuss over someone using their freedom of speech, isn't that what America is all about? Ahh, I guess not, not if it is speech some don't want to hear. Anyway, I'm sitting here in New Zealand, admiring their talent loving this album more and more.
